Switzerland - Montreux

Long awaited honeymoon trip!

First stop is Switzerland - Montreux.
We took British Airways and transit via London Heathrow airport to Geneva airport. Upon reaching we went straight to SBB to collect the swisspass and hotel vouchers. Sbd booked the hotels through swisstour but i think you can book it directly by yourself. Guess it is much cheaper that way!

Why we or rather I choose Switzerland? I have seen and heard so much about this place so i decided to spend about 9 days exploring this country. Slow pace country and I think we need time to rest and relax after all the wedding preparation. So here we go! But still i hope that i will get a chance to go Greece one day! Having saboten dinner before we head off.

Upon reaching Montreux, we left our luggage at the hotel lobby and went for a stroll at lake Geneva since there is no room available. The sight we see is breath-taking! Isn't it awesome if we have such view everyday? We were pretty shagged out due to the long haul flight! Hence no photos of us!

We decided to head to one of the mall there to have lunch. Everything was pretty expensive there, even the macdonald there cost about 18 sgd for one set of meal. In the end, we settled for this fast food place called "MIGROS BIO". The price was pretty decent! Sbd loves the pie. So it wasn't that bad after all.

We bought some chocolate at the supermarket and since we walked pass the mobile shops, we decided to check out the price for Swisscom data card, it was about 20CHF for one month. So we bought it and used it immediately!

The hotel we stayed is Hotel Helvetie which is about 2 bus stop away from Montreux station. Pretty convenient and just opposite there is the casino and some eatery places.

After washing up, we changed and visited CHATEAU de CHILLON. It is so good to have the unlimited swisspass, train, bus and entrance fee to these places are all free! So basically you only need to prepare money for just food and shopping.

Since we have some time, next we decided to visit the Photo Musee. Most of the museums closes before 6. We managed to get there at 5 and the 4 levels took us about 45 mins! Luckily no need to pay for entrance fee! :)

Then it was dinner time! The Swisscom sale person recommended us to go and eat at City Burger which happened to be around the area hence we decided to give it a try! We shared one meal since the portion is quite huge and we are both small eaters. It was not too bad but seemed like the locals prefer to cook at home rather than eat out as it is very costly. That pretty much sum up our day 1!

Match of the Season - Liverpool vs Mancity - 13 April 2014

Hello! Live blogging from Liverpool city.. Never thought that Liverpool is as per what I have seen. Thought it will be just a very old and gloomy place with no shopping malls and just a place with Anfield for Liverpool "fans" to come and watch the match. Sort of "backward" kind of feeling unlike developed city. But much to my surprise! Shopping here is more awesome than in London. Everything seemed cheaper here than in London.

Sadly, the first day here i wasn't really feeling well. Checked into the hotel and insisted to walk around to take a look. Went to official LFC store and everything there was amazing! Many Liverpool fan of course. So much selections of polo tees, jersey and accessories to buy! Awesome!
This is the sick me taking a photo outside the store! Excited much...
We bought this jersey for baby khalen :)
Comes with sock! Damn cute...
After the store we walked around and saw shops like primark, top shop, top man, cath kidson and a BMW show room and I knocked into the glass door of the show room and that's when we decided that I need to go back and have a rest. Hahaha...I slept for a few hours and woke up for dinner and after that sleep through 12 hours. Wasted did not go for museum walk and beetle museum etc.

For memory sake, the train tickets to Liverpool from London. Lugging our 2 luggages 2 hand carry and 1 coffee machine. Lol
The happy boy to his highlight of this honeymoon trip!

Forgotten to document this! We bought the badge and iron it on our jersey for the match tomorrow. This can only be bought at here I heard. Haha

We are all prepared the match which is today! Liverpool vs Mancity - the most important game of the season! I seldom watch soccer in SG and sometimes I find it really boring especially we only get to watch it on TV. Being to the Anfield wasn't probably in my plan at all. haha but I'm glad I did!

Raheem sterling helped us sign on the jersey and scarf!! The first scorer for the match today! This definitely made our day.. Quite determined to get them to sign for us ☺️

The weather was freezing cold ok! Atmosphere is 5/5.. Really make it so fun and exciting. Liverpool did not disappoint us! Gladly we are able to witness 3 goals!! Yay! Shall start watching soccer!! So so exciting haha......

To celebrate liverpool victory! Had our last meal at Jamie Italian! Met a friend all the way in Liverpool too.

Pretty much a good experience!
Dream come true for the MR.
Liverpool go go go! 😃

Interlaken

This place going to be the most memorable place. I couldn't believe that I dropped my phone at the top of Europe. A part of me is missing and had never felt so heart broken before. I couldn't stop crying and left being so upset about it and yet there is nothing I can do about it. It is not about the phone but everything that is inside the phone...from photos...to messages...to notes that I have written and everything about the past years. I'm still pretty upset..I went back to the mountain where I dropped to take a look a few times...and even seek help but everyone told me it is too dangerous to go down and there is no people ever went down. So I guess... The phone will be frozen to death and be buried deep down at the snow.

I just couldn't get over the fact that this had happened. Words just couldn't describe how I feel right now. Memories are what that are left in me. No more photos to look at..Does this means that I have to look forward and forget about everything that had happened? I just couldn't put a smile on my face.. All I wanted is my photos. They do meant a lot to me..

Trying to be positive..I should start making new memories and taking photos from tomorrow onwards. Some things just won't be the same anymore....

Each day at Interlaken made me feel so different.

The very first day - I love the serenity and peace here. Did my very first paragliding here and the feeling is awesome. Explore around the lake thun and went lost to only find scenic view that are so so good for photo taking using the mono pod. Totally loving this place..

Honeymoon is HERE!

Starting the 13 hours flight from SG to London!
Finally here we are at heathrow airport! Waiting to transit from London to Geneva airport. There isn't much shops at the airport and they are not 24 hours too.
This is us at 4am London timing! Super shag out and tired.
We took British Airway and got a pretty good deal for 2 tickets..
Cheddar cheese and ham croissant!
Pretty decent for inflight food. :)
This is the view that I see when we are about to reach Geneva airport from the plane. Beautiful isn't it...
Upon reaching we collected out swisspass from sbb and headed from Geneva to montreux! Hotel can only be checked in at 2pm! So that we walked around lake Geneva and we bought the Swisscom card which cost 19.90 CHF.
To be continued. Too tired. Heading to sleep now! 😜😜😜
