Switzerland - Montreux

Long awaited honeymoon trip!

First stop is Switzerland - Montreux.
We took British Airways and transit via London Heathrow airport to Geneva airport. Upon reaching we went straight to SBB to collect the swisspass and hotel vouchers. Sbd booked the hotels through swisstour but i think you can book it directly by yourself. Guess it is much cheaper that way!

Why we or rather I choose Switzerland? I have seen and heard so much about this place so i decided to spend about 9 days exploring this country. Slow pace country and I think we need time to rest and relax after all the wedding preparation. So here we go! But still i hope that i will get a chance to go Greece one day! Having saboten dinner before we head off.

Upon reaching Montreux, we left our luggage at the hotel lobby and went for a stroll at lake Geneva since there is no room available. The sight we see is breath-taking! Isn't it awesome if we have such view everyday? We were pretty shagged out due to the long haul flight! Hence no photos of us!

We decided to head to one of the mall there to have lunch. Everything was pretty expensive there, even the macdonald there cost about 18 sgd for one set of meal. In the end, we settled for this fast food place called "MIGROS BIO". The price was pretty decent! Sbd loves the pie. So it wasn't that bad after all.

We bought some chocolate at the supermarket and since we walked pass the mobile shops, we decided to check out the price for Swisscom data card, it was about 20CHF for one month. So we bought it and used it immediately!

The hotel we stayed is Hotel Helvetie which is about 2 bus stop away from Montreux station. Pretty convenient and just opposite there is the casino and some eatery places.

After washing up, we changed and visited CHATEAU de CHILLON. It is so good to have the unlimited swisspass, train, bus and entrance fee to these places are all free! So basically you only need to prepare money for just food and shopping.

Since we have some time, next we decided to visit the Photo Musee. Most of the museums closes before 6. We managed to get there at 5 and the 4 levels took us about 45 mins! Luckily no need to pay for entrance fee! :)

Then it was dinner time! The Swisscom sale person recommended us to go and eat at City Burger which happened to be around the area hence we decided to give it a try! We shared one meal since the portion is quite huge and we are both small eaters. It was not too bad but seemed like the locals prefer to cook at home rather than eat out as it is very costly. That pretty much sum up our day 1!

Interlaken

This place going to be the most memorable place. I couldn't believe that I dropped my phone at the top of Europe. A part of me is missing and had never felt so heart broken before. I couldn't stop crying and left being so upset about it and yet there is nothing I can do about it. It is not about the phone but everything that is inside the phone...from photos...to messages...to notes that I have written and everything about the past years. I'm still pretty upset..I went back to the mountain where I dropped to take a look a few times...and even seek help but everyone told me it is too dangerous to go down and there is no people ever went down. So I guess... The phone will be frozen to death and be buried deep down at the snow.

I just couldn't get over the fact that this had happened. Words just couldn't describe how I feel right now. Memories are what that are left in me. No more photos to look at..Does this means that I have to look forward and forget about everything that had happened? I just couldn't put a smile on my face.. All I wanted is my photos. They do meant a lot to me..

Trying to be positive..I should start making new memories and taking photos from tomorrow onwards. Some things just won't be the same anymore....

Each day at Interlaken made me feel so different.

The very first day - I love the serenity and peace here. Did my very first paragliding here and the feeling is awesome. Explore around the lake thun and went lost to only find scenic view that are so so good for photo taking using the mono pod. Totally loving this place..

Taiwan 2012 - Day 1

Hello! I decided to blog about my 2 days trip in TW before coming back from USA! :)
Was so glad that we transit over at Taipei ! Totally love the awesome food there. Missing it right now!
Upon reaching the airport, the tour agency arrange a airport transfer for us. We arrived early in the morning at 7am and had to roam around until 2 before we can check in the hotel (Forte Orange). I remembered it was drizzling that morning and how we wish we can have a bowl of mee sua! Thankfully, we have got our wish come true! The driver took us to this place where most of the local goes for mee sua and the price is so so much cheaper than the Ah Zhong Mian Xian and it taste so much better too!
our yummy mee sua that is full of ingredients as compared to ah zhong mian xian! (:
 See our satisfied face!
Sbd had the bowl purely just intestine and mine with oyster and intestine.
super super YUMMY.

Chou Dou Fu - Smelly Toufu
I love it totally!
I had it almost everyday when I am there.
Spot the address of this place.
It quite inaccessible and there are no train station nearby.
I reckon the only way to get there is by Taxi.

After a hearty meal, is finally time for us to check in the hotel.
Our hotel is Forte Orange (Linsen) which is near ZhongShan MRT station which is 2 stops away from Taipei main station. As heard from the driver, this area is mainly for business entertainment and the walk to MRT is not too far and there is family mart and 24 hrs mac around.

A photo of our room
there is no bathtub but the toilet bowl is those kind that you find in Japan with the automatic heater and stuff.
After washing up and resting for a few hours. (We suffer from Jetlag!)
We went out and decided to go Taipei 101 just to get the nan you shu bing that everyone loves!
Is a must to get when you are in Taipei, very famous among the locals.
We bought many boxes of them for friends and relative.

We walked around and saw a Agnes B Cafe there! Do try it if you are there!
They look really good but I did not manage to try it out thou.
After Taipei 101, we went to Wu Fen Pu - wholesales market with tonnes and tonnes of everything including clothes, specs, baby clothes etc. No photos of this place since our hands are all filled with things. After 2 hours we were so tired that we went back to have a nap before heading to Rao He Night Market! Is my first time heading to this market!
This market is full of foods and more foods! Nothing much but just FOOD. haha
Definitely got to try their ice kachang there
Big bowl with lots of fruits and just for the price of 4-5 SGD.

End of Day 1!
