Things to do in London (Part II)

Let me continue from the last post.
To save time, we highly recommend for the Big bus tour!
You can drop off as and when you like and mostly importantly is valuable for money :)

So below are the lists of sight seeing places that we visited:

We visited Historic Royal Palace which is now one of the heritage place.
Look at the blue blue sky! So lovely!

Historic Royal Palaces
 Happy us :)

Tower Bridge
Walked further down, you will get closer to the Tower Bridge!

Closer to the Tower bridge and you will noticed that it is painted in a very nice shade of blue!

We took the Big Bus Tour package at 20 pounds each.
It allows you to travel on the bus as many times as you want within 24 hours.
The route of it brings you to all the sight seeing places like Buckingham palace, Big Ben, London Eye etc. The whole journey takes about 2-3 hours if you sit through without getting off.

London Eye

Magnificent Big Ben

The London Telephone!
 Buckingham Palace

Came here to see the guard who is always there motionless unless changing shift. haha

Since we are on free and easy trip, there are high chances that we went the wrong way and ended up at somewhere really beautiful. That's the joy but also the most frustrating part. haha
But nevertheless, I am glad we found this park! The view is really very very nice.
 The beautiful scenery.

The battle of Britain
This is so cute!!
Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is named after Admiral Horatio Nelson’s defeat of the French Navy.
You will notice that that is a blue rooster and is a very prominent figure and it got me curious why so?
So I goggled:
Hahn/Cock is a sculpture of a giant blue cockerel by the German artist Katharina Fritsch.
Both ultramarine blue and the rooster are symbols of France, whose defeat by Britain at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 gave the square its name.
St Paul Cathedral
This is really magnificent and very pretty architecture you can find in London.
One of the most beautiful ones that I have seen.

Oxford Circus

Primark
Famous shopping store!
Everything there is quite affordable!
Not limited to these places of course.
We visited the London Westminster abbey too. The place where Prince William got married with Kate Middleton. There are just so much more about London that makes us really loves this place!
Need to add on! The hotel that we stayed is perfect!
The research for the stay is done by the husband and the price is little pricey I would say but he said is for honeymoon :) The hotel is called London City Suites By Montcalm. We stayed a total of 3 nights there.

Things to do in London (Part 1)

One of my favourite place is London!
Love the food, shopping and everything there.
Is more of less quite similar to Singapore just that the food there is way better.
The first stop upon reaching is to search for London Bridge!
This is the most significant and something closer to us since we have always been singing  "London Bridge is falling down falling down falling down." since young. So this is a must for us to see how exactly a London Bridge looks like! So here we are! To my surprise it is really just a very normal bridge, nothing fanciful.

London Bridge

Finally found it!
Hello London Bridge :)
 Taking some touristy shot here.
Mandatory shot with the signage!
So there was this nice lady whom we have asked for direction, told us that the following bridge is way magnificent then the London Bridge.
Yup. So this is the Tower bridge! This looks more nicer right!
us with the Tower Bridge :)

Musical Show

In London, the next must do is to watch a musical show!
Contemplating much if we should watch since it isn't cheap.
So glad that we went ahead, didn't know that musical can be so interactive and interesting.
A lot of effort from each individual to put up such a good show! Thumb up for them!
Totally did not regret watching :)

Each musical show have their very own theater!

Mamma Mia Theater looks so nice and look at the blue sky!
The ticketing office.
Excited that we finally made the decision to go down and purchase the tickets!

This is how the theater looks like.
They don't allow us to snap photos thou.
The left and right side are exclusive viewing gallery with drinks provided.
We hunted for this lion king cup since the rest of the item like not much of a use to us.
So yup, i bought this back all the way from London.

Burger & Lobster

This was highly recommended by many friends and it happen to be our most favourite food place throughout the whole trip! Upon reaching, we waited about 30 mins for seats. We each had a drink at the bar counter while waiting. This explains why my face is so red in the following photos :)
There are only 3 items in the menu at a flat rate of 40 pounds for each set.
We had the lobster rolls and lobster set to share.

Lobster Roll Set
 Lobster Set
We are so so satisfied with this meal we had!
The sauce is so nice and the lobster is really super duper fresh!
Highly recommended as it is totally worth the price.

Borough Market

Next up will be the Borough Market.
This is a place for start up food vendors to have a small area to sell food. Kinda like a fest thingy.
This market opens from Thursday to Sunday I think.
So must sure you plan your time well such that this is being planned in!
 Oyster only at 5 pounds!
I had it all by myself since sbd doesn't take raw.
They are the freshest oyster I ever had and the price is pretty reasonable!
SBD with the roasted duck sandwich!
We bought this lunch deal set that have scotch egg, fries, salad and sweet potato.
The egg is those soft textured kind of egg with meat patty.
Not overly expensive like in Switzerland and most importantly all the food there are really good.
They even have pastry, ice cream , cakes, cheese and many more.
We are way too full to try the rest of them!

Happy me with all the nice food!

One thing that we never forget to try whenever we go is ICE CREAM! :)

We had a slice of cake too!

Shall end this post right here.
Need to sort out the rest of the photos, will be back with part 2!
London is <3 <3<3
