Taiwan 2012 - Day 1

Hello! I decided to blog about my 2 days trip in TW before coming back from USA! :)
Was so glad that we transit over at Taipei ! Totally love the awesome food there. Missing it right now!
Upon reaching the airport, the tour agency arrange a airport transfer for us. We arrived early in the morning at 7am and had to roam around until 2 before we can check in the hotel (Forte Orange). I remembered it was drizzling that morning and how we wish we can have a bowl of mee sua! Thankfully, we have got our wish come true! The driver took us to this place where most of the local goes for mee sua and the price is so so much cheaper than the Ah Zhong Mian Xian and it taste so much better too!
our yummy mee sua that is full of ingredients as compared to ah zhong mian xian! (:
 See our satisfied face!
Sbd had the bowl purely just intestine and mine with oyster and intestine.
super super YUMMY.

Chou Dou Fu - Smelly Toufu
I love it totally!
I had it almost everyday when I am there.
Spot the address of this place.
It quite inaccessible and there are no train station nearby.
I reckon the only way to get there is by Taxi.

After a hearty meal, is finally time for us to check in the hotel.
Our hotel is Forte Orange (Linsen) which is near ZhongShan MRT station which is 2 stops away from Taipei main station. As heard from the driver, this area is mainly for business entertainment and the walk to MRT is not too far and there is family mart and 24 hrs mac around.

A photo of our room
there is no bathtub but the toilet bowl is those kind that you find in Japan with the automatic heater and stuff.
After washing up and resting for a few hours. (We suffer from Jetlag!)
We went out and decided to go Taipei 101 just to get the nan you shu bing that everyone loves!
Is a must to get when you are in Taipei, very famous among the locals.
We bought many boxes of them for friends and relative.

We walked around and saw a Agnes B Cafe there! Do try it if you are there!
They look really good but I did not manage to try it out thou.
After Taipei 101, we went to Wu Fen Pu - wholesales market with tonnes and tonnes of everything including clothes, specs, baby clothes etc. No photos of this place since our hands are all filled with things. After 2 hours we were so tired that we went back to have a nap before heading to Rao He Night Market! Is my first time heading to this market!
This market is full of foods and more foods! Nothing much but just FOOD. haha
Definitely got to try their ice kachang there
Big bowl with lots of fruits and just for the price of 4-5 SGD.

End of Day 1!
