Sunday Market

I find joy in blogging and definitely am missing this space!
Been spending time to do some spring cleaning in my room, throwing away things and tidying them up.
In a month's time, house renovation should be almost done! Yippee.
All thanks to the husband who are doing the research on which/what to buy, knowing that I can't take the heat and dust, he took leave himself to settle the aircon and wardrobe, bringing me around to choose the furniture and appliances. He even learned how to shop on Taobao! Couldn't have done all these without him and I can't wait to see how our little humble home will turn out to be like.
The other day, we had some time in between appointments and so we decided to go try out Sunday Market.
I like how they have a chinese shop name  "週日市场“.
This place is quite spacious, we only waited for like 5mins to be seated on a Saturday afternoon.
Guess what am I doing??
I think looking at instagram. haha
MR. captured some nice shots when I am looking through the menu.

When he was asked to take photo!
This is the look on his face. Trying to act sleepy and uninterested!
We ordered Cookies and Cream milkshake with waffles and ice cream.
Choice of ice cream are Matcha Green Tea and Honey & Fig.
If I were to go again the next time, I will try the savory waffles and toast instead!
They have quite interesting food on the menu and which i think is worth a try!

Stateland Cafe

Out and about to try out waffles again with love!
This time round is the Stateland cafe which is located quite near to Haji Lane.
Recommended by my cousin who told me the waffles there is very good.
This cafe is opened by 3 young adults who met at NS and decided to get together and start this.
They bring a twist to the usual plain original waffles by having many savory and unique choices of waffles.

The decor there are mainly wood and it kinda give a vintage wood industrial feel.
Pretty quiet on a Sunday evening.

Array of vintage stuff that you can find in the shop.
A photo before the waffles comes and after we finished it! haha
We ordered the famous Red Velvet waffles with 2 scoop of ice cream (Vanilla and Honey toast)
The light non crispy fluffy waffles comes with chocolate chip in it and topped with cream cheese.
Very unique taste I would say but it is a little too jelat after a while. I still very much prefer the original ones with maple syrup! But once in a while it is good to try out savory waffles too.
Oh yes, the premium honey toast from there looks really good. Shall go and try it out the next time!

The Hatter Street

I'm officially addicted to cafe hopping to try out waffles with ice cream!
So here I am to share about The Hatter Street...
It is a tiny heartland cafe and it's super convenient to go since it is very near Kovan mrt.
I guess the decoration inspirations come from "Alice in the wonderland"!
There are drawings of kettles on the wall and at the right side there is also a drawn menu displayed near the cashier. This place only sell desserts as there are no food menu, so is best to go after you have taken a proper meal.

Little corner decorated with rabbits and cages.
So here it is!
My current addiction have got to be this Gula Melaka waffle that are top with Pandan ice cream.
I am totally in love with the ice cream and the waffle is very crispy too.
There are some days where i have a sudden craving for it.
There is a night where the husband specially drove me down to satisfy my craving and very next day i had it again with my friends. haha
One more thing to note, they don't sell the ice cream individually, so you can't order takeaway or just a scoop of pandan ice cream.
There are many unique creations of home made cake there too!
Ho Lo Tin cake - Combination of milo and ovaltine mixed.
This is the one that we tried, pretty good. Not too sweet.

Oreo with brownie
We ordered this because the husband wanted to try out the oreo ice cream.
We find it pretty much very normal as compared to those that we tried before.
Probably will try out others instead of this the next time!

 Our date for the night.
Shall update about my house renovation next.
We finally settled on our tiles selection and we have started our renovation last friday!
My OOTD for that day :)
Shall end this post with a selfie!
First time using the 3CE lipstick :)

Sunday folks

So on Sunday after attending morning church service, we decided to head to Holland Village for some waffles and ice cream at Sunday Folks!
Heard that both Sunday Folks and Creamier are owned by the same owner.
The space there is definitely way bigger than Creamier and we waited only for about 5 mins for our seats.

Sweet treats from our friend who won the first fencing medal for Singapore.
So proud of him!

They served soft serve ice cream with waffles.
Our choice of ice cream flavors are dark chocolate, earl grey and pistachio.
My favourite got to be the earl grey ice cream, the taste is really good.
The rest of them prefer dark chocolate as it is very rich in flavor.
Pardon the photo with a fork, someone just couldn't wait after I snap a photo to eat! haha
The waffle is crispy but somehow i don't think it goes well with soft serve ice cream.
Still very much prefer the traditional ice cream to be served with waffle.

They also offered a wide variety of home baked cake for sale.
We ordered the Matcha Green Tea cake and surprisingly it is really good.
I foresee SBD and I will be going back pretty soon for this!
Group photo to end the day!
Wanted to head over opposite for some Churros but it is not open.
Shall try it another day :)
