sisters πŸ’—

one day old. πŸ‘ΆπŸ»

the day she met her jie jie for the very first time. LX acknowledges her and refused to let anyone take her mei mei away. so much love, she even bought along the small rabbit that she have been wanting to give it to her mei mei today too!
mei mei started crying so loudly for don’t know what reason! she pat pat her and told her papa to carry her. quite surprised that she would do that as she is often quite possessive over her dad.
my two sweetheart. πŸ’—
we bought a baby doll set with 🍼, comb and diaper as a meeting gift for LX saying is from mei mei. she loves it!
she can now imitate what I do when I’m holding LE. She feeds her baby doll with milk when she see i am latching baby. quite a good distraction tool as commented by the nurses. lol

Post C Sect Surgery

Had painkillers and all sort of pills before the numbness goes off. They removed the drips, catheter for urine and the needle to drain out don’t know what which is freaking painful! Literally screaming for a bit and didn’t even dare to take a look at it when the nurse finally got it off me and wanted to show me how it’s being stitched to my skin. #dayremummies #dayrepregnancy
Today is a must to get off the bed and go to the toilet within six hours to pee as instructed. Did it without the help of the nurse and didn’t feel giddy even thou the wound of the pain can be felt. The previous c sec i could remember that I was in so much pain! was so traumatised by it back then. Second time off the bed was for the nurses to change the bedsheet and I’m walking so slowly like a turtle now.
Lactation consultant also came to visit and teach me some useful tips.

1) how to prevent engorgement/glands being clogged up - use salt + water and cup the nipples with it everyday during bath time. (I rem having to use sterilised needles to poke so that milk will flow, so painful!)

2) when is it a good timing to pump milk for storing - best to do it an hour after latching the baby before the next feed.
3) when to do cold compression - when the breast is badly engorged and is hard as rock. (Cabbage, cold towel)

4) when to do hot compression - when there are small lumps, after hot compression get baby to suckle will get the best result or hand express the milk out.

hopefully with these tips I won’t experience these pains anytime soon.
