Chicago - Weekends

lovely blooms to start the weekend.
Einstein Bros Bagels

This is one of my must go places for breakfast. The bagels there are freshly baked with a lot of selections to choose from.

My colleagues and I makes it a point to have it at least once each time we come to Chicago.
The different types of bagels.
I was hooked on Farmhouse bagels during the previous trip. This time I tried the Chrizon bagel and it is equally tasty.

The weather is so good yesterday.

This is Michigan Avenue Bridge and Chicago river. The river is being dyed green during St. Patrick day back in March.
My first time taking a train ride here and pretty hype over it. It's always an eye opener to see how the locals commute daily in each country I visit even thou it might just be a "train".

Not prizes for guessing where I'm going!

In Chicago, there are 2 outlet shopping malls namely Aurora and Rosemont.

Aurora is quite far away and you will need to rent a car and probably stay out over the weekends to make the trip worthwhile along with Target and Walgreen in the suburb area.
It is an outdoor mall and back in March it is freezing cold having to walk out in the cold to go from shop to shop. It is much bigger than Rosemont but some brand in there can't be found in Aurora and vice versa. Example: Kate Spade and Tory Burch.
For Rostmont it is near the O'hare Airport, a train ride followed by a free shuttle bus 🚌 is all you need to take you there.

All the summer kids clothes from GAP, carters and Oshkosh are having lots of discounts. It is like $7.99 and add on 30 percent discount to it.

For brands like Nike, under Armour, coach too!

So cheap! 不买对不起自己 😂

The price indicated is not the final price thou.
Chicago is one of the city that have the highest amount of tax 10.25%. Have to manually add in on top of the price shown on the tag. So actually not that cheap after all! 😅
