Pandan Chiffon Cake | Laska



So I baked pandan chiffon cake again and this time is a success ✌🏻

The oven is a bit tricky! My friend recommended me to get a oven thermometer cause sometime the setting that you set might differ. For example - I set 160 degree Celsius on the oven but it is showing 140 degree. Is rather confusing!

Since that I have always base on the oven thermometer as a gauge to know exactly what is the temperature.

I think the side looks pretty ok too.
The top looks like it is imprinted with design but it is actually the round wire gauze which I bought from Diaso to help me in turning the cake over once is out of cake tray.
Sent some over to the neighbour for their tea break. I have the nicest neighbour who cooks our share or for LX whenever she knows we are home.

She helps to take care of LX whenever possible if the husband can't be around and I need to go for some work events etc.

Taught me a lot of tips and tricks on cooking and baking too. Her two daughters love little LX and often wants her to go over and play 😂


Laska
My friend gave me a bottle of laska paste and he highly recommended saying it is really tasty and easy to cook.

There was this day my neighbour had a craving for laska and so I invited her along with her daughters over to have lunch together.

Is my first time preparing it and I find it fairly easy for a person who seldom cook. I will probably cook this if I'm hosting a lot of people the next time at home.
I omitted quite a lot of things like "dao po" and beansprouts. I bought prawns, fishballs, egg and fish cake. Actually you can just add anything that you want to eat.
I added water, coconut milk and fishball into the laksa paste. The rest of ingredients I just boil them using water.

After I distributed the noodle on the bowl, I pour the laska gravy over it and leave it for one min. Then pour back the gravy into the pot, you can do these 2-3 times, your noodles will be more flavourful.

Last step is to decorate the bowl with all the ingredients and they are ready to be served!
