Mookata - Tom Yum Kungfu

I love to eat Mookata!

Especially when there is no need for me to cook and yet get to eat a share. 

Thankfully to awesome friends who are such a good cook!

Mookata is a Thai styled BBQ with steamboat all in a pot. 

Few years back i ate it once at circular road and it got so popular within these few years that even in neighboring places I am able to find mookata.

 I have never tried the other mookata before because my friends and I are very satisfied with the food at Tom Yum Kungfu. I like the chili that they provide! Super yummy.....Most importantly they expanded their business and open a new branch at Serangoon Gardens which is super convenient for me to go if i have a craving for it!

The decor is a plus point that make the ambience really good.

We usually order one set of it which consist of pork belly, prawns, fish cake and scallops (seasonal), meats, vegetables, bee hoon and a packet of maggie mee.

Of course, it is super unhealthy because they do not change the pan even if it is "Chao Tar".

After the steamboat, we headed to udders to have ice cream. 

There is always room for dessert :)

Yoongane franchise from Korea. 

The queue is freaking long for a weekday night but yup we still went ahead to queue!

We queued for an hour for it and this place is located at Bugis Junction #02-47/48.

We ordered the signature Chicken Galbi with Chukkumi Octopus ($48.90 for 3-4 pax) and a portion of rice with Cheese! In total we have 5 of us and it was just nice since we are small eaters.

So while waiting, I pestered them to take photos with me..

Everything came as raw and there is a people from the store who helped us with the cooking!

 

It took about 15 mins for all of it to be cooked except the rice.

We kept asking the person to add in the rice and she kept telling us to eat more of the ingredient before she can start cooking the rice.

I love this.....I think the korean sauce that they used is really nice.

They told us it was directly imported from Korean just that they adjusted the taste to suit locals.

Us wearing the napkins just in case when cooking it splatter on us. Lol

The price is quite reasonable, each of us paid $14.50 each.

Will definitely go back and eat soon :)
