Blessed lunar new year everybody! These past few days we are so busy with CNY visitation.

年除夕夜

This year instead of the usual eating out, we invited my in laws to come over our place for reunion dinner. This also meant that I'm to whip up something for all of us to eat. So I have been busy in the kitchen the whole afternoon preparing ingredients for peng cai along with lotus pork rib soup.

last min decided to cook a soup. so early morning bought LX to ntuc to grab the ingredient.

My very own version of peng cai! MIL asked us where we bought the peng cai and if it does come with the claypot as free gift.

To be fair, this is my first time cooking for them after eons years. They probably known me as the 媳妇 who can't cook cause apparently my mum does everything for us back at home. 😂

I have learnt something and that is to buy flowers during the last day of CNY! It is very cheap and they will just sell you at cost since they can't keep it for too long . These are the only decor that we have in the house.
