The first time I visited China was when I am 15 years old.
All I can vividly remember is the dirty roads, there is no door attached to the toilets (mum have to hold the umbrella to substitute it as the toilet door), cold weather and sparkling lights just opposite the bund of Shanghai. Since then till now, the only China place I visited is Dalian. I have been there for 4 times in total within a span of 2 years? Totally regret that I did not blog about what I did in Dalian! It is a beautiful place with many fond memories. China is definitely not one of the countries that I would want to go and this applies to India too. But Shanghai is the hometown of my god-mum (long story how she become my mum thou) and as promised I will visit her so here I go!
Never knew how independent I can be till that day. I did not do much research because before that I am preparing for an exam that is happening 2 days before my trip. But roughly know the mode of transport thou.
So upon reaching in the early morning 5.50am, the first thing that I do is to buy the data card. Data card can be bought after you clear the immigration before you collect your luggage. I bought the 1gb with outgoing local call at 150 rmb without knowing that China actually block Instagram too! Some places there are no 3G detected but overall being able to make phone call and stay connected is enough for me. After collecting my luggage and exit, I was still deciding which mode of transport to take (Taxi /Maglev). I went down to the taxi stand and almost wanted to take it but I u-turn back to go for the Maglev as it is 1/3 of the price of taxi. Blame it on the data card! Is quite expensive already! Taxi will be 170/180rmb and Maglev is only 50rmb.

After reaching, you need to exit and follow the sign to locate the Longyang Road train station.
From there you can just buy another train ticket to your destination!
For me it only cost another 4 rmb to my destination, so total journey cost me only 54 rmb.

So this is how the train station card and their train looks like.
It is pretty easy to get around in Shanghai and there are like total 10 train lines? haha

Finally get a chance to wear my thick furry coat.
Bareface except for eyebrow because after lunch I went for massage and facial!

The first meal I had is at this place call "素點“.
上海市静安区北京西路1196号。
This have got to be the best vegetarian food I have ever eaten before.
Doesn't look like it right? The soup is very very nice!

I love this rice!
The taste is really damn good!

Vegetarian Crepe.
I have got no idea what veg is in this but it is crispy and taste good! haha

This place sell specifically products that are made of lavender!
You can find tea bag, spray, soap and many others.

I realized that in Shanghai there are many small shops along the street and in big departmental stores, there isn't much people shopping. After lunch, I went for a 40 mins massage and 1.5hours facial which cost 136 rmb and this equates is approximately about 28 sgd! Super worth it! Most importantly, after the facial I do not have any outbreak! Hurray :)
Guess what's for dinner!

Visited the bund after dinner!
The night scenery is very nice, a pity that I did not bring out my camera.
A super lousy quality pic but this is the best that I have!

Will be compiling a list of food that i ate there!
Have been eating a little too much lately :p
